The First Engineering Simulator to have a V/STOL capability
Merlin have just delivered their latest MP521 engineering flight simulator to Brunel University, West London.
Dr. Petra Godwin of Brunel stated:- ' Delivery of the Engineering Flight Simulator presents a variety of exciting challenges to different groups of students at Brunel. As well as Ph.D research projects, final-year undergraduate Aerospace Engineering students will be able to test out their group design projects on the simulator, and individual students studying Aeronautics will have the opportunity to experience flight control. We are starting a new degree course in 2006 in Aviation Engineering with Pilot Studies, and the simulator will definitely be used to complement time in actual aircraft. You can try out manoeuvres in the relative safety of a simulator which you could not otherwise!'
