History repeated
The MP520 simulator from The University of Manchester will be taken over to the BAE Systems Site at Brough, East Yorkshire for their Open Day on Sunday 10 September.
In 1853 Sir George Cayley designed a glider, which performed the first manned flight in the U.K. over Brompton Dale.
BAE Systems designed and built a replica of this glider - which was flown by Sir Richard Branson - and this will be exhibited at the Open Day. Visitors to Brough will be able to fly Merlin's simulation of the glider in Manchester's Engineering Flight Simulator.
